The first feature of Smart-Hub is USB Device Server. This allows Microedge’s software / system (SieView, SiteView SDK, SiteView-Web and Pluto) to access the data loggers connected to the USB ports of the product through TCP sockets remotely. This function is especially useful for users who are using Microedge’s software and need to access data loggers that are located in remote or hard-to-reach locations without the need to physically connect them to a computer.
The second function of Smart-Hub is RESTful web APIs. These standardized API endpoints can be used to access data loggers across multiple platforms and systems. This feature is especially useful for users who need to integrate data loggers with other software and systems.
The third function of Smart-Hub is Modbus gateway that turns all connected data loggers into Modbus TCP slave devices.
